RECORDED MEETING MINUTES FOR JANUARY, 2007
A successful EAA meeting was
held in Pocatello
on January 20th with a good turnout in spite of horrible weather & driving
conditions. Those who attended can claim braggin'
rights for commitment & devotion. I did not make it so I am basing this
report on Natalie's notes. Andy Andrews was only a little
late & gave an excellent presentation on avionics. Looks like it will be mandatory for us all to bear the cost &
reap the benefits of a new traffic reporting & collision avoidance system
in a few years. Natalie conducted the business meeting & the officers
reported. Old issues of flying magazines are available for 25 cents. 'The old
officers were recognized & new ones introduced. Natalie won the
"bring-a-buck" contest.
Calendars and patches are still for sale so get them while it is still 2007!!!
The chapter has obtained orange traffic vests for the Young Eagle
ground crews. Meeting ideas are being considered so get your suggestions to
Natalie, or reply to the questionnaire. Bill Smith won a set of precision
screwdrivers in the attendance drawing. Dr. Richard Sugden
invited our chapter to Driggs to a fly-in breakfast
& a tour of the museum/side bldgs -something to look forward to this summer. Terry Bergevin gave a hands-on demo using safety wire for hose
clamping. Bill Smith provided the refreshments.
